Discover Oxford’s Oldest College:

Founded in 1264, Merton College is the University’s first fully self-governing college. Explore the historic Mob Quadrangle, the world’s oldest continuously-functioning academic library, and the stunning Chapel—home to centuries of worship and music.


Tour Highlights:

  • We will arrive at the Porters' Lodge (OX1 4JD) on Merton Street for a 3.30pm start, where we will be met by College staff.

  • Guided tours of the Fellows’ Garden, Old Library, and Chapel

  • Tea and refreshments in the Hall (4.30pm–5.00pm)
