About the Event
Join us for the Book Launch Reception for our latest book, ‘Burford’s Wartime Stories’ which will take place at 7.30pm on Friday 7th November at the Baptist Church, Burford. The book draws upon wartime recollections in the Burford Tolsey Archive, contributed over 150 years, by a wide range of local residents, many of whose family names you will immediately recognise.
Lavishly illustrated in full colour, the 200 page book includes memories of the Crimean, Boer, Great War & WW2 and is published by our in house publishing house, the Tolsey Press. As it will incorporate a ground breaking ‘Cast List’ of cameo images and thumbnail sketches of most of the contributors, it will most probably become a family treasure and make a splendid Christmas gift.
